Stoke Community Fun Day – Beltane Feast and Family Ceilidh

Event description from the organisers:

We love Beltane because it marks the official start of summer, as it is the midway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. Who needs a better excuse to get together and dance?

We will be joined by the amazing Freedom Fields Ceilidh Band who will be leading the charge with Irish, Scottish, and English folk music – and helping us to dance too!

The whole family is welcome at this fun and energetic event.

You can join every dance, sit and observe the dancing or pause to catch your breath every once in a while, it’s up to you. Make the most of the merriment - dress in green or red, and maybe an extravagant headdress or bountiful accessories!

We will also be sharing a potluck feast, we would love it if you bring your favourite early summer dish to share with others as we fill our bellies to keep up the energy.
